Nightcore?
I never understood the whole "Nightcore" thing or the name. What does pitching up & speeding up music have to do with Night?
I prefer the complete opposite. I like to use the app to set the pitch down to -7.54 and set the tempo to half the normal speed down to 50% and add some reverb. Too me I think it makes the music sound dark like night. Speeding & pitching up music to sound like chipmunks seems a little silly and doesn't give me that impression. No offense meant to those that like to listen to Nightcore.

T E, what you are describing is a more recent trend of making slowed reverb mixes that are meant to evoke a chilled out more emoted experience of sounds. It is a very different style creating a very different feeling, both styles have their place for shifting energy and mood.
