Just to clarify:
Imagine a long recording of a choir practice, maybe 40mins-1hr
the first 3 mins of the recording are just chatter and could in theory just be trimmed out.
place a "skip" marker right at 0:00:00 and then place a regular marker at 0:03:00.
Now when you press play it immediately skips the first 3 mins.
Then at the 6 minute mark theres another 5 mins of audio that we don't need to listen to, so at 0:06:00 we can place another "skip" marker, and place a regular marker at 0:11:00 when the important audio starts up again.
Now during playback it will automatically jump from minute 6 to minute 11.
Also then users would be able to export the audio and it will then 'trim' out the unnecessary audio.
This feature could also be extended to allow users to set the speed & pitch at various points in the audio - i.e. at 0:25:00 add a marker with a setting that will increase the speed to 1.5x
