Doesn't recognise all my music

edited January 2021 in Help (Android)
I have synced music onto my Samsung A20e from iTunes on my PC, using Double Twist. But then Music Speed Changer doesn't recognise / can't find all the music that has been synced. I know this because there are songs present via the Double Twist App that don't show up on MSC. Also, the Playlists don't update on MSC depsite new Playlists being imported during the Sync.
What am I doing wrong?

  • Music Speed Changer scans the device for all media locally stored. Did you download your music during synching? Music Speed Changer is an Android app. Are you using an emulator to run it on your PC? You might find info on the emulator file handling from its manufacturer. Make sure your music files are on the device!
  • I synced selected Playlists from iTunes on my PC direct onto the device. I can find them in Double Twist, they are all there, all the folders, all the artists, all the songs. But not all the same music is visible to MSC. Furthermore, the Playlists have changed since I originally synced between PC and Phone, but MSC is only showing the playlists synced orignally i.e. it is not updating the Playlists list - and I know this for certain because there are Playlsists synced now that didn't exist before.
I am not running MSC on the PC, only on the phone, so 'emulation' is irrelevant.
I can copy folders direct from PC to phone and those will show up on the MSC.
  • Sometimes restarting the device finds newly added tracks that haven't been added to the device's Android media store. We recommend using internal playlists to avoid known compatibility issues: https://musicspeedchanger.com/forum/discussion/250/creating-playlists-and-adding-tracks
